How many Eggs did you Sell today?

None yet. Today was my first day of actually having up signs and all, but I hope to say more than that within a week.

By summer I should have plenty business, having over 50 chickens who lay any color of egg. (blue, green, olive, white, brown, pink, dark chocolate, speckled, tan) Since I'm one of 3 people within 50 miles who have chickens, people out here don't even know that eggs come in more than just brown and white.

We sell about 10 dozens a month.

2 doz chicken and 1/2 doz duck. A whole $7, WOOT!

2 dozen yesterday, $2 a dozen, but typically by end of week we will have requests of 6 dozen. we are needing more good layers because there are 7 of us and the kids could go through a dozen themselves at breakfast alone

Three dozen today for $3.00/dozen. And gone in a blink of an eye after I got to the office. I think I should start auctioning them off to the highest bidder! I need more layers! We have 11 Gold Comet started pullets coming on March 20th but they won't be laying until just about the first of May at the earliest. A good problem to have, I guess!

I have an order for 3 doz. brown....and I gave 1 1/2 doz. white eggs to my neighbor for fixing my fridge.

One dozen brown, green and blue eggs!

I sold them at 4.00 a doz. I'm getting 9-12 eggs a day even with molting birds. I'm new to having /this/ many birds, I only had 5 before and now I have 19. It should pay for their feed and for my breeder bird's too. Lazy geese, only laying a couple eggs a year. They're late this year too.

Yeah I was wondering if anyone would ever make a thread for that. It would be such a fun thread!

I'll take some photos tomorrow. The main sign is kinda typical looking, but the one that guides people where to go (we have 3+ homes on a large property that the driveway loops through) is much more thrilling - I painted an illustration of our Silver Laced Polish on it.

And, none - I didn't sell any yet.

Sold 4 doz. yesterday the first eggs I've sold in a month or so, still have about 42 doz. on hand so I've gotta get busy trying to move some of the suckers or I'm gonna get really sick and tired trying to eat all these things.
