Do all your females go broody? Because I was going to get a silver male and a normal female and can they be kept in pairsMine lay eggs in clutches and then go broody on them.
I have a few different colours/mutations of them.
I have wildtype/browns, silvers, red-breasted, darth vader, golden pearl, cinnamon pearl and white wing pied.
There chicks are always various colours depending on the genetics of the parents

Ok cool so the mutations don’t matter they should go broody if I kept them in pairsSome of my hens go broody. I find them to do well in pairs. I keep some in pairs and some in sibling groups because they love each other. The ones in pairs are the ones that go broody.

Ok nice. What’s your beddingIt's not based off mutation. If you want them to go broody, I would try and get adult birds who have been raised by their parents as they are the ones who are more likely to go broody and they're more likely to be better parents. I would also give them lots of opportunity to nest and find a safe space for their eggs.
