I have one Sebright hen and she lays about 4-5 eggs a week. I was shocked when i heard that Sebrights only lay 52 eggs a year! That's one a week! I was considering getting a few more but I'm not so sure now! What is the average? Thanks ( i hope i put this in the right forum i couldn't get it to switch over)

I have 2 hens and 1 roo, and we also get an egg a day from each hen. They were slower over the winter but definitely more than 52 /yr

Sebrights are a definitely complicated breed when it comes to fertility to pure color patterns. However if tamed they are full with character. It's hard for me to ever find my sebright eggs as they are sneaky little buggers when it comes to laying there eggs and the next thing you know. Boom! I find them trying to brood! For a high infertile rate breed they are still very determined mothers:)
