How many eggs/week??

I have RIRs and Barred Rocks about 2 months from laying age. How many eggs per week can I expect from them?

You could probably expect 5 to 6 eggs a week from each hen.

Generally an egg a day, but their may be times when they lay less. Once in awhile they may slow down a little. When my molted there were days when I only got a couple of eggs. Also some breeds are better layers and you will get more eggs. RIR's are great layers. Here is a good chart. You may be using it.

I wish some of these answer applied to my weird chickens. First week - 7 eggs (6 hens), 2nd week, 1 egg, this week 4 eggs. I have a feeling some of them are not old enough yet, but we really have no idea.

5-6 for the first cycle, and then less from that time on as they age. Individual birds will vary and most will stop during short days and moult.
