5 yesterday 5 today. My layers have been laying about 10 months now. So im hoping for consistency through the summer till the other 8 start laying.

12 eggs today plus however many the Barred Rock is sitting on. There were 3 in there Friday morning, which I left. I'll see if she gets off in the morning tomorrow so I can see how many are in there now. Plus, since it's the weekend, I'll watch to see if she stays off or if she is just up for a short while.
Also my hubby replaced the fan in my incubator, so I'm good to go now!

ONE from my OE. My chickens are still young about 2-20 weeks. Some day I'll get 6!

We had rain almost every day last week (currently raining) and next week looks to be more of the same. Only 1 day forecast to be sunny and 1 day partly sunny, the rest are rain or thunderstorms. Oh well, April showers bring May flowers.
My barred rock was still on the nest this morning! I think I will put at least part of the eggs I won in the auction under her when they arrive. The rest I will put in the incubator. I can always sneak them under her later.

We were robbed of our forcasted rain yesterday so i had to water the garden today. Since its going to be hot and dry the next week. Hoping to only have to water once more before rain comes.

Yes, I too have noticed that the April showers tend to be the later half of April and well into May here as well.
