Maybe you could do a co-op?
One family could have chickens (yours) another could have a garden or several gardens, and another could have some live stock.
Everyone one in your twin “family” could help out to make the co-op something you can all be proud of.
When it comes time for eggs, harvest, etc. everyone in the co-op gets to share in the bounty!!!
Otherwise you will may find yourself knee deep in chicken poo, really quick.
