I would say 4-5 birds for a coop that size, and the outdoor pen you have is way too small. 4sqft of coop space per bird is a good rule of thumb, but not exact. State and federal regulation will probably require a minimum of 1.5sqft/bird, and that is battery cage/factory farm conditions, so consider where you want to be in relation to that. 2sqft per bird isn't much better....
BUT, if your chickens are using this coop exclusively as a place to sleep and lay eggs, if they are able to emerge from the coop with dawn and don't go back until night, it might not be so bad. Not great, but not so bad. Outdoor pen sizes should be at LEAST 10sqft per bird, larger if the coop is small. Chickens need their space during awake hours to get along well.
If your chickens won't be let out until later in the morning, or will be expected to spend significant time periods in their coop (say because there's 2' of snow on the ground in winter), 4sqft per bird is probably the bare minimum and still probably overcrowded. You may want to consider more space, not less, if your chickens will have to spend long periods in their coop while awake.
