How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

I have a back yard farm, (Live inside city limits) I have a garden, and chickens for eggs and when they get done laying they become dinner. I am trying to sell a few eggs to help pay for the feed. One day I hope to have land in the country and have a real farm.

Backyarder. Though, its mostly berms and hill....

DH says now all we need is a llama so we won't keep killing ourselves trying to mow there...

It could just stand around chewing grass off the berms and hills, spitting at neighbors...

I don't think most backyarders would consider me a backyarder but I don't think most farmers would consider me a farmer....

Not sure where I fit in! I must be an outsider

We have just under an acre and I affectionately call it the Alcorn Acre--after our family name

Most of our yard is garden plots, we have a large (shhh...illegal) chicken coop and run, and hope no one bothers us...lol I love my birds and my garden.

I'm on 2 acres just outside the "city" limits. The regional district allows me to have 25 chickens (I think)... Well, I'll be a backyarder as of sunday!

Backyarder! We call it the Urban Blue Shamrock a 1/4 acre experiment. Hopefully will be finding that land of my dreams here real soon. Although our property buts up against some woods we're still in "city limit"
