Farmer. We live on a tobacco farm and also grow produce and hay.....have three hog houses with 100 hogs in Each house on average. Use to have cows and llamas untill my great grandfather passed and had to sell them all due to the extra work
backyard is the only reason theres no cow, pigs, goats, and the horses are at mom's house. Not to mention the smaller than I want graden and chicken group.
68ac here with 50 beef cows, goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and pigs. 87ac winter pasture a few towns away, hayed in the spring/summer for winter feed.
Now if I could turn my black thumb green...
We should be almost completely self sufficient in another couple years... if the thistle don't overtake us before then
hobby farmer (In other words I don't do it for profit but to sustain the household) horses, chickens, muscadine orchard, fruit trees, dogs, cats, large garden and soon to get cows and sheep
backyarder, but farmer wanna be/in the works; however, the farming will only be for the benefit of the family, nothing really for profit. Everyone I know considers our place to be a "farm," but only because we live in BFE!!!
