How many here are actual backyarders vs. Farmers?

I'm a backyard-er.

Backyarder, 1/3 acre city lot. City allows 4 hens (shhh, I have 5 and want to add one more). I was a stop on last year's 'backyard farm' tour -- but really, I just have a big vegetable garden with a few raspberry bushes, small fruit trees and the chickens. Wish I could have more chickens. A second flock of banties. Ducks. Watch-geese. But I lived 10 miles out of town once and it was a pain. I work at home and need my clients (music students) to come to me. Town works best. I try to grow a lot of what we eat and buy from local farmers & ranchers, of which there are many.

Tho i live on 5+ acres in the "country" my chickens are smaller scale and for eggs and well sort of pets so i would consider myself a backyarder - well also cause they free range and are often camped out on my back patio!
