How many is reasonable for my space?

Nope, I've yet to get a hen that regularly lays 6 eggs a day per hen. I have several hens that average about 6 eggs a week in peak laying season.

So Sorry, I missed the per day part.

Thanks for a the help guys. Chicken math is hard to fight! I picked up 4 blrw and 2 olive eggers. I just went to the feed store and almost bought 6 more! My reasoning? Well the 6 I have could be all Roos... Haha. The feed store had pullets in several breeds i want but they only sell a minimum of six. Maybe if I hang around long enough I can catch some buying some and have them throw 4 in for me
