How many longer days in the spring do ducks need to start laying?

It’s hard to word this question but how many days of good sunlight does it take for them to start laying? We just moved them outside from our garage for the spring so I’m looking for eggs everyday since then but I wonder if there’s an estimated time.

yeah I live in rural iowa where it snows in May. It’s been in the 50’s though so I’ve been able to wear shorts this week.
