How many nest boxes in the coup do I need?

For example, if I had a dozen girls laying eggs almost everyday, does each want it's own nesting box? Or do they share?

3 to 4 hens will share a box. Which would make it 3 or 4 nest boxes for you. (Good think I did well in math!)
