I have been looking at coops for my back yard. Most designs say they will accommodate 4 to 6 chickens but they only have 2 nesting boxes

. Is that enough for 4 hens?
I will be receiving 4 pullets. 2 Black Copper Marans and 2 Naked Neck-Turken.

Two nest boxes for 4 chickens is plenty. I have 4 nest boxes for 6 hens and they all use the same one ~ sometimes up to 3 at a time in the same box!

Be careful and check the square footage of those coops. Often the people who sell those coops exaggerate the number of chickens that will comfortably fit into their coops. Besides "chicken math" may come up later!

Wow!! That was quick and painless:).
Thank you!

One box is plenty for four or five chickens. They'll all lay in the same box anyway, so don't waste your time building two for just four chickens.
