A foot long Bass would be like a trophy fish! My largest one was a whopping 6 inches long. LOL

The hubby has had a great start with crappie fishing. He caught two that would have won the local contest if he would have remembered to enter it. I guess he was in a hurry to get on the lake. The grand prize was $100. I am still raising chicks so I have not had time to go!LOL

Bluegill are biting. A friend caught these and gave them to me. They were pretty good. Just finished up the last of them tonight.

I LOVE fishing!! But, unless you can pick up your pole and WALK to the water, it's just not possible. Where I am now isn't that far from the sea, but with a concerted effort I might see it 2X a year. If I wanted to fish, I'd move to Santa Cruz but I feel my present location is better for the coming "doom times".

Gosh I sure loved fishing as a kid though, good way to get some decent protein.

First run for DH (the curly headed guy) out with the boat for the season. Caught a chinook while bottom fishing for lingcod off the Oregon Coast. Halibut fishing this weekend, haven't gotten the reports back yet

I did not go as I am nurturing a 8 week old lav. ameraucana whose back was stripped naked by its siblings (it is doing really well).
