How many of you guys have worm bins?

The compost you get from your chickens, and rabbits you kind of forget about, as far as money saved, my ground is sand.... so the chickens were not only for eggs but I am hoping to have a much better garden because of them as well. My daughter uses a paper product for her bunny litter so that will help too. You could run a add: Chicken eggs, and chicken poop for sale.

I've had one for a while now. Between the worms, the chickens and the compost, hardly anything organic goes in the trash anyore. I read somewhere that if everyone did this we could reduce landfill volume by around 60%! Plus, the castings are great for the garden. I make a tea out of them for the houseplants, and the have gone nuts.

Ours are litterbox trained (bunnies not worms), so we just dump the bunny box, litter and all in every week or two. But our bin is pretty lively, start with a cup or 2 of droppings, when you don't see a bunch of dropping add more.

My cousin had one of those HUGE furry lop eared bunny. But she used a regular cat litter box with regular cat litter. I don't recommend putting THAT in your worms.....

No I wouldn't put reg. cat litter in there either. My daughter uses a organic paper like product, so lucky me.

I have been thinking of trying to get my cats to use that type so that I could dump it in a hole out back somewhere, now I just add it to the landfill.
