I got to talking to some people yesterday and got to wondering.

BYC is a wide spectrum of people so let me ask: How many of you really think that major civil unrest/societal destabilization is likely in the next five years?

I'm almost 50 yo, and have been hearing that since 1975. Don't think it is likely or even on my radar, just fun to speculate about. ala 2012.

If you look around it is already happening, not to the armagedon degree though. When and if it does get that bad folks will have to protect thier families and possesions with whatever force it takes. Folks these days are not as humble as they were in the 20s-30s and will not accept super hard times like they did then. They are used to govt handouts to get by and when those get cut as they surely will be, then lookout. OH yeah dont even think of coming to my house and trying to take anything from me, you will meet resistance.
