Hello Hoosiers!! I'm living in Rensselaer, IN

5 black java hens
1 white java roo
2 Naragansett turkey hens
8 wild turkeys
1 grey rabbit
1 golden pheasant hen
6 white silkies
5 dogs
5 cats
30+ mixed chickens

I came here to increase my Javas in any way possible. The white roo was hatched here from one of the hens and a black rooster(now deceased). I get eggs from the girls but don't know how to candle. I would love to trade birds or eggs with someone nearby.

This is a great forum, thank you.

It seems that everytime I turn around, Im adding something else to the coop. I guess you could say I have chicken fever. There is never a dull moment around here, always something going on or needing done. I wouldnt want it any other way...................Thanks...............ed

My family and I just moved from Iowa to Grabill. I was born and reared in Fort Wayne, but left for college and graduate school. We spent 9 years working and farming in Iowa.

My wife is a Veterinarian and I am a nutritionist. We have a farm and a feed store, will have chickens this spring.
