Silkies make the best indoor pet as I have found on many different sites

Makes sense to use breeds as tiny as possible for indoors pets... What about Seramas? They're so tiny you might be able to make a satisfactory indoor aviary environment for them, or one on the porch, like you do for large parrots.

Should say though that if they never have dirt, or only ever have the same dirt, you will likely lose the lot to cocci etc just because they require repeated exposure to gain resistance or immunity but can overdose... I'd suggest using fresh raw garlic in their food at least a few times a week to prevent that issue, and liming the soil, but it'd take a lot of know-how to make/keep indoor poultry healthy. Living indoors permanently is not ideal for them or you but maybe those sites you've been on have some info from those who have succeeded, if they have, anyway.
