How many roosters do you have???

Well I had 7 until today, so I have just 5. I like all the ones I have, they earn their keep!
1 Perfect all round White Leghorn
1 Gentlemanly RIR
1 beautiful EE
1 goofy Silkie
1 Super sweet Mutt RIR/BA
I plan on getting 3 more Silkie roos on saturday so that will put me at 8!

I, for the most part, love having roosters, and their silly voices!

Five.
Suede, Blue Orpington
Zane, Barred Rock
Dutch, Barred Rock
Mace, Barred Rock
(The above three are full brothers)
Jake, Delaware

That doesn't count the two Delawares and one Blue Orpington who are 9 weeks old and for sale.

Thank you rooster-red! You're too kind!

I really do want a rooster, but I can't seem to find one that "fits". It may be a problem with my temperament, not theirs! Anyway, I'll have plenty to choose from come spring, when I start hatching eggs under my broodies.

I think I only have four, which is incredibly surprising. I was hoping for another large breed rooster in my straight run order of approx. 35 and I got ONE which was a smaller breed. I have a Turken, a jap/silkie, and two modern game bantam roos. The game bantams are still very young, but I haven't seen them since I left for college. I'm sure they've grown a lot since I've left!

I have 4 now but had 8 this summer
2 serama roos, whitey and bernie
1 white cochin banty roo crash
1 dutch/cochin roo Hawk

Amen to the uffda tiki those seramas can give a girl grey hair when they start crowing in the house at 5 am. Ear plugs and sleeping pills ahhhhhhh LOL

Well, let's see

... in my first purchase of 8 Lt. Brahmas, I got 2 roo's (the girl I got them from paid for sexed pullets, I got them at 2 wks old). In my Dark Cornish Bantams, I got 4 out of 7. They were a week old. Bought 10 more Brahmas (Buff and Dk), got one roo. Was gifted 4 Dominiques, got 3 roo's. They were 2-3 wks old... I gifted away a trio of Lt. Brahmas, so I only have one roo now. The Dominiques are starting to mature and are becomming a problem to each other, and the Dk Cornish Bantams (roos) have formed their own little "gang" and try to beat up on the Dominiques. I managed to sell one pair of Dk Cornish, but noone seems to want the others so I'm not sure what to do. I'll keep the Brahma roos, one Dominique roo, and one Dk Cornish. The rest will HAVE to go  ! Too many roos, for sure!

I have 9 roosters - which apparently wouldn't be so bad - but I only have 9 hens lol! So I think 9 is too many....

I have 2 Blue andalusian roos & 1 hen
1 ancona roo & 5 hens (better odds there)
3 bantam barred cochin roos and 2 hens
2 bantam mottled cochin roos
1 brahmarama(brahma/ameracauna cross) roo & 1 hen

I would like to keep 1 male per breed grouping and maybe next year buy some more hens but I figure right now I need to get rid of 4-6 roosters!!

My anconas & blue andalusians are 20 wks old and all the rest are 14ish - and I have been afraid to let them all be together because I am afraid my 3 older big roos will kill by bantam roos - or pullets (or drive them away)! Can someone please allay my fears here? Is it ok to put them all together? One of my bantam pullets is almost quail size and I just love those two little bantam pullets.... (all of the bantam cochins are really sweet...)

help!
