How many roosters do you need?

I have 3 roosters in with my 8 hens. It seems the roosters are constantly after the hens. Do I have too many roosters?

1 rooster for every 10 to 12 hens is fine.

With a flock that size I would only keep one roo if they are all together.

Soooooooooo either you need a lot more hens or decide which roo you like best.

It's a tough choice I know... best of luck

I had a similar question... I have only one rooster and 8 hens total. But, I will be moving 2 of the hens (who get constantly picked on for their crests) to their own enclosure today. Will the roo be too much of a bully with only 6 hens to live with? Thanks.
