How many threads have you killed today?

I used to be depressed by my thread killing, but then I realized that if I didn't do it, someone else would. By killing threads, I'm saving people from feeling guilty!

I know this is a stupid question but I'm not only new to this site, I'm new to forums so could you explain how a person kills a thread. That way I will try harder to not do that to anyone here. I have probably done it a gillion times and not known it. Go figure!

This turned out to be one of our better threads -- 4 pages of replies -- a new 'thread-killers' record --

(I used to think that I 'killed' the threads since I have no Avatar and the people who keep the things going all have cute/interesting/pretty/scary Avatars -- gotta get an Avatar and a 'signature' --)
