How many times/day do you feed your chickens?

We have three ladies. I keep their feeder full all the time and they eat when they want. I give them cracked corn for a treat or for extra calories when it is cold. If we have leftover veggies, bread etc they get that. They also like a cabbage put in the metal hanging basket, keeps them busy. They are healthy and still laying all winter.

The problem with bread is that it has very low nutritional value, especially white bread. It's like candy to the birds.

LOL! Back in the 60s, my stepmom made an attempt at baking biscuits made from scratch. They were awful! She pitched them out in the yard for the birds. A squirrel picked one up and nibbled on it, threw it down and ran back up the tree.

first meal i ever made, no lie. i was married and didnt have a clue. seen my mother make veggie soup so i opened a bunch of caned veggies and dumped them in a pot. no salt no broth then i knew she put some sort of meat in it and all i had was a can of salmon. so ya, the bones were floating , the dog threw up. im not much better 35 yrs. later. definitely no betty crocker
