How many times/day do you feed your chickens?

That pic was taken right after he tried to grab one of the legs and drag it out of the pan. He must have been staging a rescue....

I feed my gurlz twice a day during warmer days because I can free range them. During cold weather just like these days where I cannot free range them because they prefer just to stay inside the coop, I make sure I have steady supply of feeds. I feed them with spilled feeds spread around the coop ( and not just in one container) just to get them to exercise and roam around the coop. I also give them cracked corns usually in the evening so that they have enough body heat the entire night. Crashed oyster shells will provide additional calcium.

I will definitely try feeding my chickens chicken. It just seems wrong.

He was a Partridge Plymouth Rock...best rooster I've ever had. Sweet, smart, good flock master, good forager and free ranger. Couldn't have asked for a better roo.
