My rooster LOVES pecking me, He will climb on me, Go on my shoulder as I walk around the coop and peck me. He stopped for a while but after the birth of our brand new 3 chicks I guess he was quite the influence because now the CHICKS are pecking my face (In a playful way) almost everytime!

been pecked in the eye by a RIR. those guys are vicious............... thing flew 3 feet in the air and stuck it's face thru a chain link fence to get me. that was after the same hen picked a fight with 3 fully grown Pit Bull mixes......... and won.

We had a Brahma who was really not a fan of our dogs, They don't get close or anything, All the other birds did not care about the dogs, But if she was walking to find worms and the dogs are in the way she will peck them not very nicely to tell them to "Get out of my way!"

my face has been caused to bleed around 5 times from them, one nose bleed, 2-3 gums, and 1-2 from my lip.

I have got to be in the 30-50 range by now. And before anyone says anything I know I am irresponsible, but the idiots are just too cute to not have near my face lol. But my eye hasn't been injured yet so that has to count for something, right?

I don't remember ever being pecked in the face.

Either that means it didn't happen, or that means it wasn't a big enough deal for me to remember later. I'm positive I have never received a peck that needed attention from a doctor or emergency room, and never had any injury comparable to a ripped out earring or even a bloody nose.

Now chicken toenails are something else... I can't count how many times I've had scabs on my hands or arms from those.
