I posted elsewhere, but someone suggested I try here. I know the likelihood is low, but I am wanting to see if I can encourage a silver phoenix to go broody. She is laying separately from my other hens so I thought maybe....JUST maybe.... so today, I left her egg where she laid it. Can anyone tell me? How many eggs would be typical to a silver phoenix' clutch? She only lays one or two eggs a week. I thought I would let her collect however many was typical. If it doesn't stir anything, I will just remove them and leave off the wishful thinking.
