how many turns a day?

arghh!!! i can't believe this! i forgot how many times to turn incubating eggs a day! i remembered 3 seconds ago! can some please remind me? i think it's 3, but i feel wrong.....

they say 3 at the VERY least, 4 is way better,, and even more is even better.

I turn 3 times a day and have never had a problem !!

I agree. You want to turn atleast 3 times a day. It is better to turn an odd number of times because you dont want the eggs to be resting in their same side everynight.

You know I usually only turn twice and last hatch I got 18 chicks so I don't really think it matters.

I never knew that you should turn at an odd number! that may have been my problem on my first hatch. I turned 4+ times a day.

But I would say 3 at the least, and the more the better!

4 is the better every 6 hours, or 3 a least every 8 hours.

Not so how many times but the time between the turning, never good to let them set more than 8 hours without turning.

Yes you will get some to hatch with turning once a day, for higher hatch rate more is better.


auto turner its every 2 hours, thats 12 times. Again its the time between the turning not how many, even or odd.
