Just wondering how many water areas you all have set up for free range chickens? Our hens stay right around their coop and our rooster is all over the place. I currently have 1 on our back porch, 1 in the coop, and 1 near a covered parking area, not that far from the coop but in place I know the hens investigate. We are in Texas and wonder if this is enough.

I would think that is plenty. I have a nipple system in the run and a 3.5 gal waterer for when they free-range in the backyard. I clean the waterer with a swish every morning and find that the chickens use both. I think clean and fresh is most important and not how many. They will find it!

That sounds like enough. I live in Louisiana and it's hot here as well. I have A LOT of water areas but at the same time, I have a lot of animals.
