how many worms are too many for chicks?

i have fed my week old chicks a few worm...they love them.
i am also giving them sand with pebbles in it. they eat it up too.
still eating (like crazy) chick starter.

how many worms should i be feeding my 9 chicks?

Don't worry about it. Recently I turned over all the dirt in my veggie garden plot and my 2 standards GORGED themselves on worms. They ate so many worms that they actually stopped.

Chickens NEVER stop eating!

They were back 20 mins later. LOL

Just make sure that you're giving the chicks medicated starter. Worms are carriers of cocci, which resides in all dirt, so it's important to protect the little ones from developing cocci.
