I am thinking about going and picking up some straight run easter eggers. I want mostly pullets and one roo. Is their any y tricks to find the pullets in chicks? I read somewhere about tipping them upside down. Normally when a hen hatches her eggs or you hatch them in a incubator How among pullets vs roos do you get.

You tell the difference between pullets and rooster if you pull out the wing the pullet has two rows of different sized feathers and the rooster has a row of straight feathers

Does that work with all breeds? I'm looking at easter eggers. And they might be a few days old. Will that trick still work.
