How much are silkies worth?

I was wondering the value of silkies. I have a white sillie hen and a partridge hen. I'm not wanting to sell either but was thinking about getting them a roo. A friend of mine in Tennessee sold his sillies for $20 a piece. I've heard other values but never gotten a good idea of how much they are worth. Does anyone know? Is if dependent on age and area im in?

I think location and quality. I seen some nicer ones around here go for $40 each for Roos. Pullets or hens are harder to find here so prices are higher.

It can depend on demand in your area if you are going to sell hatched Silkies. Another way is to sell the fertilized eggs but practice does go a long way. If you breed, I wouldn't sell them right away as you need to see how they look. We have a bunch of Silkies including whites and a couple of partridges. However, we have been hatching a lot of paints, which isn't our goal. I would do a test run before selling any eggs/babies.

But, this is my opinion, so do whatever you feel is best.
I'm in Wisconsin, so I don't know anything about demand in Alabama. It's freezing right now!
