Hi,
I live in Southern Indiana and we are paying 9.50 for layer and meatbird and 8.00 for crack corn 40lb bags. We recently had to switch from Purina to regular due to cost. Our price would probably be similar if we went to purina.

Last time it was just over $12 for 50lbs of layer pellets. I'm horrified that I just bought 50lb of scratch grains and it was over $13. I swear I was paying $8 last year.

Well at least the crumbles don't look so bad now but all the feed I buy has went up about three dollars a bag since early summer.

They have just now lowered our laying feed a $1. It now costs $12.99 for a 50# bag and scratch is $9.99 for a 50# bag. My chickens have been laying eggs and pay for their own feed that way!

Mine has gone up to $10/50lb bag. These birds are going to have to start making some money (selling eggs) or they are going to become food.

I live in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and I just pulled out one of our invoices and we are paying 11.99 / 50 lbs for egg layer and 9.99 / 50 lbs for cracked corn.

I'm in south central Utah and if I buy feed locally I'm somewhere around $16-$17/50# bag for chick feed, layer feed or game bird starter. If I drive over the mountain to Walmart I can get layer for $10.50/40# bag, but they don't carry chick feed or game bird, just layer and scratch. That's a big enough difference I drive over for a dozen bags periodically--time to do it again tomorrow. Everywhere else I've checked is about the same as my local feed store.
