Every time I turn around, there's another thick puddle of foul smelling cecal poop. All six of my flock do the occasional cecal doo, but it seems like there is an awful lot of it. It appears most of it comes from my cockerel, so is this normal or is he trying to tell me what he thinks of my husband's plan to remove him from the flock?

The cecal poo is more persistant when passed. The cecal poo is not as friable (inclined to break apart) and disperse. The friability of the more abundant poo can also be a function of how much fiber is in the diet. When my birds eat a lot of course fibers, the more abundant poo is less sticky than if they eat more processed feed.
