Would a sebright be able to fly over a 6ft wall into my neighbors yard? And if they can, would they be likely to do so?
Also, I read somewhere that they're difficult to rear. Would it not be a good idea to get a sebright as a part of my first flock, or should it be fine?

More than likely they would be able to fly over the wall. You could clip their wings so they can't get over there. I've never had them so I'm not sure if they are hard to raise. My OEGB hen flew about 30 feet and then landed on top on my eight foot high coop.

i've had sebrights before. yes they will fly and a six foot wall in not obstacle to them. i had a hen when spooked that could fly about 25 feet up into a tree and could fly a really long distance, over 300 yards. wee had no probelm rearing them but if you don't want them to fly you had best cut their wings!

yes Seabrights will fly over that, EASY

I wouldnt be able to know if they would if they werent spooked, we had a hen and like 3 cockerals once and the hen could easy cover our fence, but she and her 'boy friends' LOL would just roost in the tree or on the fence, but they never left. They never got spooked tho and if they did, they would leave. Yes, clip there wings! We had all our chicks live (though we did give some away, we gave all the golden seabright hens away and all the silver seabright cockerals away) and they never did seem to die easy, course we did have an andalusian that was NOT a begginer bird but seabrights should be easy enough, good luck

oh and they were stand offish but once you caught her she was a sweetie pie, but the cockerals were flighty either way but we never held them

how do you clip the wings do you do it yourself, or would I have to take the sebright to someone
