How much do you all sell your eggs for?

$2.50 a dozen. And no, it doesn't come close to covering expenses when you figure in coop, run, food, equipment, etc. But it does pay for most of the food, and I get as many fresh eggs as I want and the enjoyment keeping chickens brings me.

a doz lg brown eggs at the store cost $3 here, so I would sell mine for probable 3.50.. however, we have a number of people we help and my parents and grandma love the fresh eggs so I haven't sold any yet.

I sell mine for $1.50 to my neighbor and her sister's family. They bring me dozens of free egg cartons, scraps, hay, and even watch the chickens when I am away so I don't mind the low price. I would actually give them eggs for free, but they wanted to pay me something. I haven't gotten a straight answer on the TN egg selling laws so I haven't advertised yet. I see them on CL for $1.25-$2.00 a dz including the carton around here. Crazy!

I sell to friends and co-workers for $3/ dozen. I sell to Craigslist $4/dozen

This covers my ongoing expenses and gives me 2 dozen free eggs a week.

Mine are fed an Organic, Non-soy, non-GMO, flax seed feed. They get treats. they have outdooraccess 24/7 and free range once/day for 1-2 hours.

They also come in a rainbow pack from beige, brown, speckled brown, pink, reddish brown, blue and green. I try to get some of each color in a pack.

I make sure my customers know that these eggs are from happy, healthy spoiled hens.

I give the craigslist customers the first carton free and tell them that I recycle cartons and if they don't bring it back there is a 50 cent charge on the next dozen.

The people from work I don't have to worry about it they just bring it back.
