how much do you charge for your eggs?

I got out of the business, and now I just freeze our extras for winter. Too many people were selling them for next to nothing in my area, and it wasn't worth it to sell for peanuts in summer and then have to buy in winter.

I charge $4 dozen. I put up a Facebook page for our farm and post when I have eggs. Then people "claim" the eggs and state when they'll pick them up. I have a wine bar in town, so they're thrilled to come in and pickup thier eggs and have a glass of wine.

If they don't pick them up in 3 days, the next time they want eggs they have to pay for both dozen.

$3.00 a dozen and nobody complains of the price. I do not lower my price, they are too valuable to me, but I give away the small pullet eggs as samples. I only sell the large/X-tra large size and keep the small ones for our family.

We charge $3.50 a dozen, $1.75 half dozen and 35 cents each. I give them to my neighbors free, they have to listen to the egg songs so they can enjoy free eggs. I also add 10 cents if the person doesn't bring a carton.

At walmart here, free range brown eggs, smaller than our eggs, are $4.22 a dozen. They have organic brown eggs for $3.25 but those are not free range. Organic cage eggs, how silly.

I charge $3/dozen for large/extra-large eggs, $2.50/dozen for mixed sizes (with the occasional bantam egg). We have recently been getting more egg orders than we can fill, and I have some local folks on a list that will be good customers in the spring.

We realized that in addition to the 9 laying-age hens we have (only 3 are laying right now because everybody else decided to molt all at once), we have another 15 about to reach POL in the next 4-6 weeks and another 3-4 that should be laying around the holidays, so we should have enough eggs to take care of all of our potential customers come spring for sure.

$5 dozen $3.50 half dozen... i am always sold out. I may need to increase the price to cover feed. $16 for 50 pound bag.... and i go through 4 a week..... I am thinking of $8 for my duck eggs.

I do not size my eggs but i do sell the bantam eggs separately... for the same price though mom yells at me. Not like you would find banty eggs in the store, yet quail eggs are a rare delicacy food item.

Right now i am donating my eggs to the local feed bank. In the summer i make bank and in the winter i try to help a little. I consider it balanced karma.

4$ a dozen. Mixed sizes and colors. Doesn't cover the feed bill at this time of year; too many hens on vaca at this time of year.
