How much do you pay for DE.

Today I bought some food grade DE to help with my ongoing flea problem. Anyway I paid $18 for an 8 pound bag! Does this seem like a lot or is this about how much the rest of you pay. Also does any one else have any other advice to rid my yard of fleas? Even with out unusually cold winter we are still infested with them. Thanks for any help or advice given.

It is $25 for a 50 pound bag at my local feed store. They get it buy the pallet load, so it saves ALOT.

N. Wisconsin ...$15 for 50# unless you are organic farming... go ahead & buy - use more of a brand name poultry lice powder..it does work better..at least until you get problem under control......if your yard (( what is considered a yard ??? ))) is infested you might have to contact a professional...also do a search for plants to repel fleas / lice......pennyroyal is used for dogs...am sure there are some listed for lice out there...good luck.

I just found a place in Asheville that carries it, called Asheville Agricultral Systems 45 Banks ave, it's 40 lb for 27.95 which sounds high, but if you order online the shipping will kill ya.

I got totally ripped off the other day at a pet store my first time buying it and I needed some to setup my coop. I paid $20 for a 1.5 lb bag.
