How much do you pay for layer pellets and from what state.

Reno/Carson City, NV...most layer pellets (Nutrena, Layena, Bar Ale) around $13-14/ 50 pound bag pellets. I paid $16.95 recently for Purina Gamebird Starter (wanted higher protein during molt). And we don't pay sales tax on feed for consumable livestock.

I pay $25 for 50 lbs. of organic soy and corn free mash. It is grown locally.

We only have 5 girls so its about a month's worth.

$13.99/50# bag of Manna Pro Game/Showbird Breeder Pellets (19%) at my feed store in Denver. No sales tax on 50# bags. Back in October, it was $12.99/50#. It runs $2/50# more than the regular Manna Pro Egg-Maker pellets (16%).

From talking to relatives who are farmers, the price of corn is going up, therefore feed is going to be going up soon.

Layer Mash Crumble = $11.00
Scratch Grains = $9.00
All Stock = $7.50
