We just purchased 12 Golden Comets they are about 21 weeks old. We have two feeders in there coop and they empty them both quite quickly. My question is should you leave feed in the coop all the time or will they just keep on eating as long as there is feed in front of them. Thank you for your advice.

I feed 24/7. You might try pellets. I find that there is alot less waste.
I am feeding 50+ and go through about 50# a week. However since it has been nice out and they are free ranging They are going on 2 weeks with this bag of food.

Same here. I read somewhere the average is 1/4 pound per chicken, per day. We go through much less than that, when the chickens free range.

My birds have 24/7 access to feed and water. I have a feeder and a water inside My coop and one each hanging in the run.
