how much feed do babys go through?

hey every one. I'm trying to get all details worked out before the 20 bantam chicks get here. my feed store sells everything in 50lb bags and by the pound. so how much medicated feed do i need? and how much grower crumble untill they can eat pellets? all info is wecome.

I do not feed medicated feeds.

I have 12 chicks I hatched this past weekend and they eat a quart of starter/grower a day. For 20 you will need about 2 quarts a day adding more each couple of days as they grow. Buy the 50lb bag. You'll be amazed at how much they eat!

You will want to keep the feeders and the waterers full at all times.
