A leghorn-type hen will eat about 1/4 pound of feed each day:

.25 x 30 x 12 = 90 pounds

Dual-purpose birds eat about 1/3 pound of feed daily, or more.

Of course, the weather makes a difference in the amount of food they require when the birds are outdoors or in unheated housing.
