how much feed do they eat?

excuse the idiotic question, please. Hubby and i have been toying with the idea of getting some meaties( havent concluded processing though) but im trying to figure out total cost for them and the feed.

how much does one bird eat in 8 weeks, or 50 birds, or 100. whatever you have done and pounds of feed..

25 Freedom Rangers ate approximately 600 lbs of Purina Start in Grow feed in about 8 - 10 weeks

It does vary, but we average 18-20 lbs of feed in 8 wks for a 6-7 lb dressed bird. Thats for a CX, FR will prob eat a little more then that, and a DP more then a FR.

There is a fancy chart floating around here somewhere, maybe you can find it. It for the cx and has age, feed consumption, and weight gain.
