How much feed from hatch to 8 wks??

You don't have to do anything special. I used a long plastic chick feeder for my adult birds and they didn't waste any feed. You have to make sure the food level is below the holes or they will scratch it out, but if you don't overfill the feeders, they don't waste it.

Going back to the wasting of feed. I have 10 coturnix in one pen and I have one of the mason joar screwon feeders. It seems as if I fill it up one day and then the next day, all of the feed is on the ground. How do you get them to stop. Should I be looking at how to put a feeder on the outside of the cage or should I get the long feeder.

Ive been happy with the less mess system I bought (http://www.qualitywildlife.com/shop/store/category/less-mess-feed-water-system/)! Could probably make something similar for cheaper, but was happy with the quality products I received and customer service.
