How much feed?

How much feed do I give each duck in the summer vs the winter?

I put out feed for my flock in all daylight hours. Even though they forage on half acre. Having layers they need the nutrients. Same as winter. I don't measure the amount of feed for each duck.

I agree. Mine have pretty much all they want. They do eat more in the winter, which makes sense.

they say a duck needs 7 ounces of food. i free range all day then right before they get locked up i give them and estimated 12 ounces per bird in a home made feeder that accommodates all my ducks so they can eat at the same time.

years of research id imagine lol but idk and i also agree with you. lol thats why i give more then that.

I leave feed available during daylight hours as well. Some ducks will eat more than others, but they definitely eat more in winter than summer.
