I have just hatched lavender Americana chicks- I am wondering how much I can sell them for?
I also have polish frizzle chicks and also wondering how much to charge. These chicks are gorgeous.
I am in Texas

Those kinds sell for 5$ each up here, if you're buying from a breeder.

If there's a demand in Texas, you could do 10$. If you really see people wanting to buy those breeds, then 12$ will do fine.

In my opinion,
10$ would probably be a good start, then see how well your chicks sell. If they go fast, the next batch you hatch out and sell, price them at 12$. If they keep selling out fast, you could probably increase it from there too. Good luck :)

I live in a town with a hatchery. I generally will sale any I consider extra chicks for $1-2 but find it just it easier to just raise them with the keeps and sale them as older pullets soon to lay. Those generally sell for $12-20 each around me.

I am thinking I would be better off selling them later than sooner. If I have male and female sell as a pair, I have sold chicks and ducks for a few years and think older is the better option. I was just curious to see what others thought

Depends.....
-on the market in your area.
-what line and breeder of Ameraucana's they are from, which denotes the quality of the bird.
-on how good of a marketer you are.(you really should spell Ameraucana correctly)

When selling something it's best to start high, it infers quality and you can always drop the price or have a 'sale'.

POL birds are always worth more, and easier to sell, than straight run chicks.

The spell check decided to spell ameraucana how it wishes. But thanks for pointing it out. I will be sure to note that.
