Yeah, really depends on the demand. If you get an incubator... and are in the right market place, you could sell balut to order for $3 per egg!

Its an idea... but I just couldnt do that myself... ewwww.... just thinking of it makes me quizie... dont care about the money for that.... might be a good idea for someone else... or maybe DH could do it without me knowing LOL

Ducks eggs here go for double or triple what you would sale chicken eggs for. That being said some folks are allergic to chicken eggs. In the spring the folks that have them hatch alot too. So Supply and demand kick in.

I just cant tell the difference other then size. It is way to cold here to be raising baby ducks.

Have seen Goose eggs go for up to 2 to 5 each.

Try them out at 50 cents each or $5.00 a dozen. (I hate messing with change and $5 is easy and it gives a "deal" when buying a full dozen.)
You can always raise prices after a few months if they go well. Or vise versa.

Is balut what I think it is? (an almost ready to hatch duck egg - contents deep fried?)
I have a friend who lived in Cambodia for a while...but he was a vegetarian.
