Hello again duck communtity.

I wondered how much a six dozen pack of duck eggs for eating should cost.

They are large eggs, and good quality.

That depends on your area and what the market will bear. I imagine the price could vary dramatically from place to place.
Search for a store around you that sells them and see how much they cost there.

You could also do a local search on Craigslist to see if anyone else is selling them.

I generally sell my duck eggs for $5/dozen. I do not know of any stores in the area that sell duck eggs.

Nobody sells duck eggs in Fairplay? Good thing you are there.
I guess that's one advantage of living in a big multi ethnic city.
We have several stores that sell them. My favorite sells quail, duck and balut eggs.
They also sell silkie broilers - as well as lots of other wild and crazy things.

There is a Kroger, a Safeway, an independent grocery store, and a Whole Foods in the area, no duck eggs. There is also a Mexican market, that I'm not sure about because they do carry some different things, never went in there looking for duck eggs. There are some duck eggs on CL for about the same price. My husband is a great enabler and tells me I should expand my egg empire :lau but right now I really only sell to about 3 friends/neighbors when I have extra in peak season. It didn't take them long to learn the duck eggs are better than the chicken eggs, even though I don't think any of them had ever had a duck egg prior. People are skeptical at first, but seem to be converts for life if you can get them to try a duck egg.

I'm not allowed to sell my eggs; due to strict food rules.
But I have found people that are interested and are the same; not allowed to sell them. (small (biological) local cheese/vegetable market people).
This lowers the price; and compared to US dollars and eveything; it would be 2 dollar a dozen.
Because it is totally illegal black market stuff.... (sigh).
Only asian people and bakers buy my eggs; the rest of the people here find them gross and don't even know that chicken eggs are...from chickens.. they think they magically come from a factory. No joke. Duck eggs is a far from their bed scary show for them. "eeew gross!!!" is the normal reply.

This is not much. That's 6 dollar a week. But otherwise it are eggs in the trash.. and it exactly covers the costs of food and snacks for the ducks.

Legal chicken eggs, non-bio or freerange (chickenfarms), are 1,29 dollar per dozzen.

Long story short; ask your market. If you notice over time they reaaally want your eggs; you can raise the prize.
