How much for Mexican speckled quail?

I have both mexican speckled bobwhites and manchurian (italian) golden coturnix, so yes they are bobwhites if they are mexican speckled, they are easy to tell apart. The snowflake (white and black mexican speckled) are rare and command a high price.

Sorry, guys as Huntercf said they do exist. Actually there are hundreds of mutations in the Coturnix, mostly color mutations and most are kept in Labs or for labs.

I't start another thread so as not to take this over.

Nope, no hundreds of mutations of Japanese coturnix (you may be mistaken for button quail...Excalfactoria chinesis), I have been in genetics for years and I know this. in fact it is very difficult to create colors in the Japanese Coturnix...Huntercf said that there is no Mexican speckled coturnix...bobwhite yes...

If you want a speckled golden...go for the Manchurian Golden Coturnix
if you want a nice variety of bobwhite...go for Mexican speckled or snowflake.

Also Just To Help Clarify And Ratify One Of Quail Ladys Posts.... There Are 2 Types Of Coturnix.

Coturnix, Coturnix Japonica Are What We Generally Call Coturnix, Or Japonese Quail

Coturnix, Coturnix Chinesis Are What We Generally Call Button Quail

So Dont Get Confused While Doing Searches Online For Coturnix Colors Or Mutations As The Coturnix They May Well Be Talking About Could Be Buttons Which Do Come In A Myraid More Color Mutations Than Japonese Coturnix.

JJ, Button quail are Excalfactoria chinesis

Good for you I'm glad you're getting out of chickens, I did a while ago, best decision i've ever made.

To be honest with you I would get the blue scaled quail and the partridge, as well as any kind of small gamebird as they always seem to be in demand.
