How much, how often...and well...How?

I forgot to mention in my original post that I went through two hanging feeders! The resulting chaos at filling time broke both of them (and the girls still had some in there, so being famished was not in question). They broke both! Believe me, I loved the hanging red/white combos because they were so easy to fill and clean.

Do I have poorly mannered hens? Geesh. I feel like a bad mom. They are brutal!
