How much is an almost 1 YO Australorp hen worth?

I have had an easier time adding a grown hen to a younger crowd (almost the same size though) then I have adding younger with older ones. The older hens just seem annoyed by all the little ones and peck at them only if they come close to them.

Where I live, hens (POL or laying) are priced at $15 (I have seen one lady who raises and sells chickens advertise her laying hens for $20 (don't know how many she has actually sold). Here, in my city, chicks are easy to get at the feed store, but laying hens are harder to find.
